DESCRIPTION

From Lisbon to Sintra we take the scenic road along the waters of the Tagus River, visiting Estoril and the beautiful Cascais, an aristocratic city where the Royal Family used to spend the summer. After admiring the beautiful bay, the Cidadela and Boca do Inferno, an interesting rock formation built on the magmatic cliff, we will proceed to Cabo da Roca and Sintra.

On the way we will cross the Discoveries spot in Belém and stop at Estoril to admire its famous casino, that inspired Ian Fleming to write the Casino Royale.

Following the rugged Atlantic coast to Guincho, we find a landscape of rare beauty, with great views of the Sintra hills, beaches and sand dunes that invade the road. Then we head to Cape Roca, the westernmost point in Europe, a mythical place since prehistory.

After lunch, we will visit Sintra walking through its alleys, admiring the palaces and the charming green landscape.

During the tour, we have time to visit a monument in Sintra of your choice, such as the romantic Pena Palace, the Medieval Palace or even the Queluz Palace, called the Portuguese Versailles.

As an alternative to visiting a palace, we can make a final visit along Sintra's beaches to admire the beautiful Atlantic coast and the picturesque village of Azenhas do Mar, a true postcard.

Monument fees: Pena Palace 20€; Sintra National Palace 10€; Queluz Palace 13€
